A very popular restaurant in Morehead City has reopened after Hurricane Florence.

The Ruddy Duck Tavern shuttered its doors for more than three months due to weather damage.

Despite the restaurant taking on more than four feet of water and significant wind damage, the Ruddy Duck Tavern and its employees haven't missed a beat.

"We had a lot of support, a lot of our customers that we know, basically family and friends. And it makes us feel really good. As the owner, it makes me feel really good. Words can’t even express how happy I am," said Ruddy Duck Tavern co-owner Fabian Botto.

The business reopened on Thursday and plans to stay open for 11 days straight, which includes New Year's Eve. After that point, they'll go back to being closed on Mondays.
