The USO of North Carolina teamed up with Feed the Children to bring boxes of food to military families hit by Hurricane Florence.

But they also had an extra surprise. The First Lady of North Carolina, Kristin Cooper, joined the children and brought toys, crafts and books for the military children.

Families were also given cleaning supplies, personal care items and boxes of nonperishable food items. Volunteers from the USO of North Carolina and Feed the Children came out in full force for the donation giveaway. Each box weighed around 25 pounds so strong volunteers were a necessity.

This is the 8th event in support of military families the USO of North Carolina and Feed the Children have partnered together on since Hurricane Florence.
