National Hurricane Center reports Florence eyewall beginning to reach NC coast
The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Fla. reports the eyewall of Florence is beginning to reach the North Carolina Coast.
A 4 a.m. advisory indicated a NOAA observing site at Cape Lookout “recently reported a sustained wind of 68 mph and a gust to 90 mph. A Weatherflow station at Fort Macon, North Carolina, recently reported a sustained wind of 65 mph and a gust of 87 mph.”
