Massachusetts college students helping out with hurricane cleanup

We helped them when they were in need. So it was time to pay it back.

That's the approach some students and instructors took from Northeast Maritime Institute in Fairhaven, Mass. The small one-of-a-kind maritime college got help from Beaufort during Hurricane Sandy in 2012. So they paid it back the only way they could.

Students came to Beaufort to help with tools, tarps and lots of water. It was the least they said they could do for a community that embraced and took care of them previously.
