Frank Fraboni anchors the 5:30, 6 and 11 p.m. news weekdays at NewsChannel 12.
The veteran anchor and reporter comes to WCTI from our Sinclair sister station WLOS in Asheville, where he spent 13 years as an evening anchor and senior investigator.
Frank began working for Sinclair Broadcast Group in Winston-Salem at WXLV. Prior to that he anchored the evening news at WFMY.
Frank spent part of his career in central Florida in the Tampa- St. Petersburg area working for WFLA and WFTS.
Frank’s broadcasting career began in radio at the ripe ol' age of 16 at his hometown radio station in Watkins Glen, NY.
After college in Buffalo, NY, he anchored sports and news before being offered a transfer to WNCT-TV, owned at the time by Park Communications.
It was during his years at WNCT that he met his wife who was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. They have 4 grown children and one grandchild and looking forward to many more.
Frank and his family are right at home in the area and he enjoys his free time fishing on the creek and enjoying time with his family.
