RALEIGH — Three state representatives are sponsoring a bill in the N.C. General Assembly that would make Daylight Saving Time permanent.
The News & Observer reports Rep. Jason Saine (R, Lincolnton), Kelly Hastings (R, Cherryville) and John Szoka (R, Fayetteville) are sponsoring the bill, which seems to have growing support across the state and country. Similar legislation was also introduced Tuesday in South Carolina.
HB 350 would make Daylight Saving Time permanent in the state, as long as Congress agrees. It's also an idea President Donald Trump has discussed as being in favor.
