GNC 'Women's Iron Complete Supplements' recalled due to risk of poisoning in children
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WXTV) - GNC is recalling 756,000 packages of Women's Iron Complete Supplements due to a risk of children ingesting them and suffering from poisoning.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recall information states the blister packaging which holds the pills is not child resistant and if ingested by a child, could cause serious injury or death.
The affected product comes in 60-count caplets inside a white box with "Women's Iron Complete" printed in gray and red on the front of the box. They were sold at GNC stores nationwide and the store's website from September 200 through August 2018.
Anyone with the affected product should call GNC at 888-462-2548 for instructions on how to obtain a refund.
