Frozen biscuits recalled due to listeria connection

Hom/Ade Foods is recalling Mary B’s brand biscuits due a concern that their products were contaminated with listeria.

One company is recalling their frozen biscuits due to a possible listeria connection.

Hom/Ade Foods is recalling Mary B’s brand biscuits, which were sold in nearly two dozen states, including North Carolina. The recall was issued on January 11.

"The problem was discovered in a product sampling conducted by an outside co-packer, who manufactured the product," a statement on the FDA website reads. " Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems."
