The cause of a mobile home fire where two people were found dead inside has been ruled "electrical in nature," according to the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office.

The fire sparked Thursday morning on Maple Grove Drive.

Roderick Quenton Jones, 54, and Rosie Patterson Hill, 59, both of whom lived at the burned residence, were killed in the fire. Authorities are still waiting on reports from the medical examiner for the exact cause of death.

Investigators have notified the victims' immediate families. Fire investigators added that no foul play was suspected or criminal acts were associated with the blaze.

"Incidents like this are never easy for a family. Our prayers and condolences go out to the family of both Mr. Jones and Ms. Hill for their loss," Lenoir County Sheriff Ronnie Ingram said.
