Thanksgiving is just around the corner and one soup kitchen in Jacksonville needs your help.

The Onslow Soup Kitchen is preparing to feed around 800 people on Thanksgiving. They are currently in need of turkeys, canned goods like green beans, carrots and peas along with monetary donations and gas cards to operate their mobile food pantry.

"We really need help," said Remy Sitt, director of Onslow Soup Kitchen. "Without the community and the businesses, we wouldn't be able to run this because we're a nonprofit organization and we rely on donations."

You can drop off donations at the Onslow Soup Kitchen's downtown Jacksonville location at 600 Court Street. There is also a need for 50 volunteers for Thanksgiving. Click here to get more information.
