Missing Greenville teen found safe

    UPDATE: Donovan Coplin was located by GPD officers at approximately 6 a.m. Tuesday. He was cold and wet and as a precaution he was transported by EMS to Vidant Medical Center for further evaluation.


    The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered man.

    Donovan Edge Coplin Jr., was last seen at around 9:30 p.m. Monday at 334 Lindsey Drive No. 2. He is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment. Greenville Police say Coplin is autistic with limited verbal capabilities. He responds to “yes” or “no” questions easily, and reportedly is more receptive to males than females.

    Coplin is 18, 6-foot-0 and 180 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a camouflage coat, gray pajama pants and black and grey shoes.
