Voting results restored in Lenoir Co. after one-stop voting discrepancy
KINSTON, Lenoir County —
With the 2018 midterm elections behind Eastern North Carolina, missing voting ballots are now left in its wake.
Lenoir County Commissioner Eric Rouse said he spoke with a Board of Elections member. That member told Rouse that 869 one-stop votes that were collected during early voting are missing.
As of Wednesday morning, results were taken down from the North Carolina State Board of Elections and Ethics Enforcement website. They have since been posted again.
Lenoir County Board of Elections Director Dana King said the issue only pertains to one-stop voting and members from the North Carolina State Board of Elections are going through the results.
King said she hoped to have more answers by Wednesday afternoon.
