NEW BERN, Craven County - One New Bern McDonald's is going viral on Facebook after their drive thru intercom system was hacked over the weekend.

On Sunday, the McDonald's located on Neuse Blvd. across from Carolina East Medical Center was hacked.

A customer captured the video after trying to place an order at the drive thru. In the two minute video, you can hear someone over the intercom making lewd comments.

The hacker over the intercom was heard saying, "You know I'm actually on the toilet right now and I'm just going to serve you your food. I'm not even going to wash my hands." After a brief pause the voice continued by saying "you know what just pull forward because I'm going to give you whatever the **** I feel like giving you."

The video has been shared more than 875 times and viewed more than 38,000 times.

A McDonald's employee confirmed the intercom frequency was hacked.

Bill Purcell, owner of the McDonald's location, released a statement on the situation on Monday.

"We are investigating this matter with the help of the New Bern Police Department. In addition, we are taking steps to prevent this isolated incident from happening again. As local owners, our biggest priority is our customers and community and we want to ensure that every experience at our restaurant is a positive one."
