Known drug dealer arrested again on multiple felony charges
JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County —
A known drug dealer was arrested again on multiple felony charges.
On January 19, Onslow County Sheriff's Office Drug Enforcement Unit conducted an operation where Brian Robert Allen, of Jacksonville, was found with heroin in his possession. He also had various drug paraphernalia and was subsequently arrested.
On February 1, Drug Enforcement Unit detectives, while assisting New Hanover County Sheriff's Office on an unrelated case, witnessed Allen selling drugs out of his vehicle in a Walmart parking lot. Officials then conducted a traffic stop on Allen. They found 5.2 grams of heroin, a loaded hypodermic needle and various other drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. He was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
- Two counts of felony trafficking heroin
- Two counts of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver heroin
- Two counts of felony maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
The 33-year-old was given a $413,000 secured bond. He is currently behind bars at Onslow County Detention Center awaiting trial.
