House of Raeford Farms now hiring in Duplin County

House of Raeford Farms is on track to open after the February 2017 fire at its Wallace location. With that comes new job opportunities.

The company announced it is on track to open this summer and is now accepting applications for hourly production positions in several different departments. You can visit the business' website or attend the June 11 job fair at 253 Butterball Rd. in Teachey. The job fair will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“We have been working diligently with our partners to rebuild our operations in Wallace, and are excited to officially open our doors this summer,” said House of Raeford CEO and Owner Bob Johnson in a press release. “House of Raeford Farms is thankful for our partners, employees, farmers and our community for their support, patience and commitment to rebuilding together.”

The company announced in a press release the new plant, designed with safety and sustainability in mind, will be outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and advanced technology. New hires will join several House of Raeford employees who will return to the Wallace location following the fire, some of whom have been with the facility since originally opening in 2006.
