Earthquake off Maryland, Virginia coast felt in parts of Eastern NC

WBFF in Baltimore reports an earthquake was reported at about 6:30 p.m. off the coast of Ocean City, Md., in an area also close to Virginia Beach, Va. The report came from the U.S. Geological Survey.
The 4.7-magnitude earthquake happened about 136 miles off the U.S. coast. It could be felt off the Outer Banks coast and other locations in Eastern North Carolina, according to some witnesses. The Outer Banks Voice newspaper also reports some locations feeling the earthquake.
It was recorded at a depth of about 6.2 miles.
