Donations total $168,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of NC

Thanks to donations during a drive at McDonald's across the state late in 2018, a total of $168,000 was raised for Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Carolina.

The drive ran from Nov. 27-Dec. 31. Customers who visited a McDonald's location in North Carolina could donate $1, $3 or $5. The goal for money raised for the seven Ronald McDonald Houses in North Carolina was $150,000.

“We cannot thank our local McDonald’s and their loyal customers enough for their generosity throughout this fundraiser,” said Fred Huebner, local McDonald’s owner/operator and Board President of RMHC of NC. “These donations will help keep thousands of families together during one of life’s most difficult trials, when a child is sick or injured.”

Officials said $10 can cover one family’s stay at one of the Ronald McDonald Houses. The money raised during this campaign equates to 16,880 nights for families in need.
