Wayne County woman charged with obtaining property under false pretenses

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a Kenly woman who tried to sell items officials said she stole.

Kayla Brooke Keating, 28, of 2677 Memorial Church Road in Kenly was charged with one count of obtaining property by false pretenses. She had a $2,500 unsecured bond.

In a press release, officials said The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a break in at a residence in the eastern portion of Wayne County. The investigation determined items were stolen from the residence were sold at Trade It by the listed subject. The investigation is ongoing.
