Two wanted in murder of man at birthday party in Bertie County

    The Bertie County Sheriff's Office has warrants out for two men in connection to a murder that happened Sunday in Merry Hill.

    Bertie County Sheriff John Holley said Jashawn De'Andre Brown AKA 'Southside' and Tywan Jonshea' Outlaw AKA 'Too-da-loo' are wanted in the death of Rayshon Carter. Holley said Brown is wanted for murder while Outlaw is wanted for accessory after the fact. Brown is 29, 5-foot-6 and 170 pounds. Outlaw is 28, 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds.

    Carter was shot and killed while at a birthday party on Sunday in Bertie County. Deputies responded to the call and Carter was flowing to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, where he later died.

    Both men have prior convictions and Brown is a member of the Bloods gang, Holley said. Both have outstanding warrants and are believed to be armed and dangerous at all times and to be approached with extreme caution.

    Holley said the Bertie County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division along with the NC State Bureau of Investigation continues to investigate Carter's death.
