Two arrests made in Greene County narcotics investigation

Two arrests were made in Greene County as a result of a narcotics investigation in the area.

John Williams Stocks Jr., 69, and Brittany Nicole Moore, 26, were arrested after controlled purchases were made from them during a narcotics investigation.

Stocks was pulled over during a traffic stop on Wednesday, April 11, in the Maury area. During the stop, he was found to be in possession of close to a gram of methamphetamine, officials said. He was arrested on outstanding warrants and charged with one count sell methamphetamine, two counts possession of methamphetamine, one count maintaining/vehicle/dwelling for controlled substance, one count possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, one count manufacture methamphetamine, and two counts possession of drug paraphernalia.

Moore was arrested and served at the Greene County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday, April 10, on outstanding warrants from the investigation. She was charged with one count conspire to sell methamphetamine. Moore was also served with a Beaufort County charge of one count possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver.

Stocks is currently behind bars in the Greene County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond. Moore was bailed out on a $12,500 secured bond. Both individuals are due in Greene County Court on May 11, 2018.
