Two arrested on drug charges in Pamlico County

ALLIANCE, Pamlico County — On Aug. 12, 2018, the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office arrested Stephanie Nicole Hopkins, 33, of Pamlico County, and Gregory Michael Hopkins, 57, of Pamlico County.

The arrests were the result of an investigation following a near fatal heroin overdose, several drug complaints and drug related 911 calls in the Alliance area of Pamlico County. The Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office say the heroin was purchased from the Hopkins residence. Investigators received a search warrant for the residence and executed the search warrant at 189 Ireland Road, Alliance. Heroin, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and money were seized during the search warrant.

Stephanie and Gregory Hopkins was arrest and placed under a secure bond of $100,000. Both were scheduled for a first appearance in Pamlico County court on Friday. Charges are listed below.

Stephanie Nicole Hopkins was arrested and charged with the following:

- Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Schedule I controlled substance

- Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Schedule VI controlled substance

- (M) Child Abuse

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Gregory Michael Hopkins was arrested and charged with the following:

- Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Schedule I controlled substance

- Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Schedule VI controlled substance

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
