Three arrested after boat, trailer sold as scrap metal
GREENVILLE, Pitt County —
Three people have been arrested and charged after a boat and trailer were stolen and sold for scrap metal.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office said Michael Lee Page, James Edward Pollard and Tammy Lynn Pollard were arrested and are facing charges for an incident that happened May 22. Deputies responded to 4625 Statonsburg Rd. in Greenville to a reported breaking and entering and larceny. They discovered a boat and homemade trailer were stolen.
Officials said the trio stole the trailer and boat and carried it to the recycling center in Pitt County, where it was sold as scrap metal. James Edward Pollard was charged with felony breaking entering, felony larceny after breaking entering and obtaining property by false pretense. Tammy Lynn Pollard was charged with obtaining property by false pretense. Page was charged with felony breaking entering and felony larceny after breaking entering.
James Pollard was placed in the Pitt County Detention Center under a combined secure bond of $112,500 from numerous cases. Tammy Pollard was in the Pitt County Detention Center under a combined secure bond of $10,000 from numerous cases. Michael Lee Page was in the Pitt County Detention Center under a combined secure bond of $15,000 from numerous cases.
