Sneads Ferry man facing drug charges after search warrant leads to arrest

A Sneads Ferry man was arrested Tuesday on drug-related charges.

Travis Bryant Guthrie, 29, of Peru Road in Sneads Ferry was arrested and is facing the following charges:

-- Felony Trafficking by Possession Schedule I (Heroin)

-- Felony Trafficking by Manufacturing Schedule I (Heroin)

-- Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule I (Heroin)

Bond was set at $100,000 secured. He is currently in the Onslow County Detention Center awaiting his first court appearance.

Onslow County Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement detectives and the Crime Reduction Team assisted N.C. Adult Probation & Parole with a search on the residence of Guthrie following complaints from the public of drug activity. K9s were deployed and officials found over four grams of raw heroin, glassine bindles ready for packaging and various other drug paraphernalia.
