Kinston man arrested, charged in aggravated assault case
NEW BERN, Craven County —
Kinston Police arrested a man with an outstanding warrant who has been charged in the case of an assault that happened on March 6.
Police said in a press release Henry Hicks Jr. was arrested at a residence in Kinston Monday around noon by members of the US Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force and the Kinston Police Department. Hicks was also charged with trespassing and obstructing arrest.
Officials said Hicks Jr. was the suspect in a case involving an aggravated assault from March 6. He was placed in the Lenoir County Detention Center under no bond for domestic assault and was given a $500,000 secured bond for felony assault by strangulation, felony child abuse and communicating threats.
