HUBERT, Onslow County — A Hubert man who was arrested in August for exposing himself to a juvenile has been arrested again for a similar charge.
Edward Joseph Hornbeck Jr., was arrested on Dec. 10 by deputies with the Onslow County Sheriff's Office and charged with felony indecent exposure, misdemeanor indecent exposure and felony indecent liberties with a child. He was placed in the Onslow County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. He had a scheduled court appearance on Tuesday.
Officials with the sheriff's office said Hornbeck, 69, of Villa Park Drive in Hubert, exposed himself and had inappropriate contact with a child, this time under the age of five. On Aug. 21, Hornbeck was arrested by members of the Onslow County Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit for exposing himself and having inappropriate interaction with a juvenile under the age of 12.
Since that time, Swansboro Police Department detectives contacted the Special Victims Unit and said another incident involving Hornbeck had come forward that occurred in Onslow County. Special Victims Unit detectives investigated that incident and additional charges were obtained.
