Charges are pending for one man after five dogs were seized from his New Bern home.

The Craven County Sheriff's Office responded to 410 Hoyle Farm Road in New Bern in reference to locating a wanted person.

When deputies arrived, no one was on scene and Craven-Pamlico Animal Services was contacted due to the conditions of five dogs on the property. One of the dogs located in the home was blind and couldn’t walk. The dogs' owner, John Boseman, arrived on scene and surrendered the animals.

Charges are pending against Boseman for cruelty to animals.
