East Carolina University's campus was buzzing with new and returning students on Wednesday.
With so many extra people on campus, the ECU Police Department warns that traffic can be an issue. Wednesday was the first move-in day, but students can move in until Saturday. Officers urge everyone to stay alert and be careful when driving or walking around Greenville.
"With all that's happening around us, it's got to be a collaborative effort; not just with local law enforcement, but also with pedestrians, as well as motorists, " said Lieutenant Chris Sutton with the ECU Police Department.
Police also warn that construction around the campus can cause traffic issues. They suggest watching for detours and staying informed about the road work.
Below is Morgan's report from 5 p.m. about traffic conditions in and around Greenville during the move-in process.
