It's been a few months of work but the new home of the G.I. Joe Military Museum in Kinston is now open.
A ribbon cutting was held Thursday at the newly repaired location, 1165B Hwy. 11/55 S in Kinston. Damage from Hurricane Florence prompted the repairs after the move last August to the new facility. Now that it's open, it's more than a museum. It's a place where veterans come together and share their time and to heal, too.
