One business in Atlantic Beach found a way to help others during the government shutdown with something many of us enjoy.

What if you were in the business of selling homes but your local members of the Coast Guard are in need during the partial government shutdown? You bring BBQ. The business teamed with Fat Fellas to do just that.

"We got a call guys, about a week ago, from Cindy over at Realty World here in Atlantic Beach," said Jeremy Cannon, owner of Fat Fellas. "She wanted to do something for our coast guard's men and women."

The best news is not long after this took place, word came down the government shutdown had ended after President Trump announced he and Congress had reached a deal to reopen the government.

"Folks like Dank Burrito and Yanni's were finding ways to give back, especially to the Coast Guard," said Christine Chadwick, marketing director at Realty World. "We were trying to see how we could help as a real estate company and one of our team members had the wonderful idea of teaming up with Fat Fellas who's a local food vendor. We gave him a call and he got right on board."
