A new bill banning the ‘Carolina Squat’ passes North Carolina’s House of Representatives.

“Autoweek” said the ‘Carolina Squat’ is when a truck or SUV has a raised nose and an unmodified or lowered rear.

According to the bill, “A private passenger automobile shall not be modified or altered by elevating more than three inches from the manufacturer’s specified height in the front and lowering the automobile more than two inches from the specified height in the rear.”

A petition on to make the ‘Carolina Squat’ illegal has over 70,000 signatures.

If the bill passes the N.C. Senate and drivers continue to modify their trucks, it could cost them a fine or their driver’s license.
