A young boy in Cincinnati didn't have a really good birthday.

Gavin Wilson had a heart attack on his birthday. He had no party or anything. It was just a struggle to be alive.

"Today we are celebrating his half birthday, because on his actual birthday, he had a heart attack, so we didn't get to have his birthday party or anything," said Gavin's mother, Tia Wilson.

Gavin has been kept alive with a special heart pump while he awaits a transplant. While he wishes he could go home and see his friends, he got the chance to celebrate his "half birthday" at the hospital where he's staying.
