Sheriff Darren Campbell said deputies responded to a caller who said an unknown child knocked on their door saying the driver forced him to get off the bus for misbehaving and asked the resident to call his mother to come get him.
According to Campbell, deputies picked up the 12-year-old boy and turned him over to family members.
Sanchez, who's been suspended from the Iredell-Statesville Schools, was jailed on a $2,000 bail. It's not known if she has an attorney.
