Tagged shark Miss Costa makes visit to Wrightsville Beach coast
WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C. - We had a familiar face return not too far down the road from us.
According to Ocearch.org, a tagged female shark named Miss Costa showed up on the Wrightsville Beach coast Wednesday morning. The shark was tagged in Nantucket, Mass., in September 2016 to monitor the shark's path, progress and habits.

Miss Costa is a 12-foot 5-inch shark that weighs 1,668 pounds, according to Ocearch.org. Since it was tagged, the shark has mainly traveled up and down the East Coast, even getting briefly into the Gulf of Mexico.
