CHARLOTTE - Two people pried open a window and sexually assaulted a woman Thursday night inside a southeast Charlotte residence, according to a police report.

The victim told officers she didn't know the two people who used a pry tool to break into her house.

She said once the suspects were inside, they restrained her and sexually assaulted her.

The victim told officers that after the assault the suspects took a TV from her home and left the scene.

One neighbor told WSOC that he saw police in the neighborhood Thursday night and saw the police chopper circling the neighborhood.

But other neighbors said they hadn't heard about the incident and were shocked to hear about the alleged crime. They said the neighborhood is quietly, friendly and full of families

One woman spoke to WSOC but asked that we not show her face because she was so scared by the incident.

"I'm absolutely shocked. You know I hate to hear that happening in my neighborhood that's right down the street from my home. We will be locking things, double locked, closed shut, causes quite concern," the neighbor said.

Police have not made any arrests.
