Body found inside car in pond at NC golf course
SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (WTVD) - Southern Pines police said a body was found inside a car that crashed into a pond at the Knollwood Golf Course in Southern Pines.
Crews were called to a small pond located off Knollwood Drive Sunday morning.
According to the Aberdeen Times, the Moore County Dive Team responded to assist law enforcement with removing the victim from the water and to assist in retrieving the Mazda MX6 passenger car that was submerged.
Police have not yet identified the victim but the times reports that he is a black male believed to be in his 40's or 50's. Although no foul play is suspected, the victim is scheduled to be sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
