350,000 electric space heaters sold nationwide recalled for fire, burn hazards
SINCLAIR BROADCAST GROUP-The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of 350,000 electric space heaters due to fire and burn hazards.
Vornado Air is recalling VH101 Personal Vortex electric space heater models following 15 reports of the heaters catching fire.
The CPSC reports the affected models measure about 7.2 inches long by 7.8 inches wide by 7.10 inches high, have low and high heat settings and a fan (no heat) setting. The models also have "Vornado" with a "V" printed on the front.
The models were sold in multiple colors at Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Home Depot, Menards, Orchard Supply, and other stores nationwide. They were also sold online at Amazon.com, Target.com, Vornado.com and other websites from August 2009 through March 2018 for $30.
