Woman using ATM robbed at gunpoint, suspect arrested
LA GRANGE, Lenoir County - According to Lenoir County Sheriff Ronnie Ingram, his agency has made an arrest after a woman was robbed at gunpoint while using an ATM.
A woman told deputies she was robbed at gunpoint while at the teller machines at the Wells Fargo Bank in LaGrange, Ingram said.
The woman told deputies the suspect, wearing a hoodie, forced her to withdraw money before taking it and running off. She then drove to her parent's home and called law enforcement.
Deputies were able to view footage and while on patrol located a person fitting the description. Upon further investigation, deputies found a handgun on the subject along with money believed to be from the robbery.
The suspect, 16 year old Kymean Demonte King, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and placed in Lenoir County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
