Woman arrested for the murder of her husband is Harlowe has first court appearance

HAVELOCK, Craven County - The woman who was wanted in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the Harlowe community made her first appearance in court this morning.

Craven County deputies say 45-year-old Stephanie Frazier shot her husband, 55-year-old Marvin Frazier. Both lived at 105 Great Oak Court in Harlowe.

NewsChannel 12's Greg Payne reports that Frazier was caught just after 4 p.m. in the 2800 block of Hwy. 101 in a wooded area. She was arrested for shooting and killing her husband. She was taken to the Craven County Jail to be booked.

The shooting took place on Godette School Road, just off Hwy. 101 near Havelock, on Wednesday at around 12:30 p.m. The road was blocked off as law enforcement investigated the incident.

Frazier is being charged with an open count of murder with no bond. Her next court date will be October 6.
