Tropical Storm Franklin forms in the Caribbean


Tropical Storm Franklin is now churning in the western Caribbean Sea.

Franklin currently has wind speeds of 40 miles per hour and is moving west northwest at 13 miles per hour.

Franklin is expected to make landfall on the Yucatan Peninsula and then Mexico on Thursday.

The government of Mexico has already issued Tropical Storm watches and warnings.

Franklin does not pose a threat to our coast.
