Three more arrested in 2015 Kinston murder investigation
KINSTON, Lenoir County - Kinston Police announced the arrest of three more people in connection with a 2015 murder investigation.
Erica Mona Jones, 21, of Raleigh, Frankiena Danielle McCotter, 33, of New Bern and Paris Gereaux Hannibal, 33, of Kinston were each charged with accessory after the fact, a felony. Jones was arrested in Kinston on Wednesday and placed in the Lenoir County Jail under a $550,000 secured bond. McCotter was arrested in New Bern on Thursday and placed in the Lenoir County Jail under a $250,000 secured bond. Paris Hannibal was arrested in Kinston on Dec. 2 and placed in the Lenoir County Jail under a $75,000 secured bond.
On Sunday, July 19, 2015 shortly after 11 p.m., Kinston Police officers responded to 611 Girl Scout Road in Kinston. When officers arrived they found Jack Davis Jr., 71, suffering from blunt force trauma to his head. Davis was transported to Lenoir Memorial Hospital and later to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville where he later died.
Six people have been arrested and charged with a variety of crimes to include murder, burglary, armed robbery, larceny as well as conspiracy since Davis' death.
