Three men arrested following string of burglaries in Lenoir County
KINSTON, Lenoir County - Three men have been arrested in connection with a string of breaking and entering crimes in Lenoir County, authorities said Friday.
Michael Spry, of Columbia; Matthew Jenkins, of Deep Run; and Cameron Hargrove, also of Deep Run, were arrested on May 23 following a number of residential burglaries in the southern portion of Lenoir County, the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office said. The crimes occurred in a spree on May 23, and saw firearms and jewelry taken. Witnesses at one of the burglaries were able to provide a description of the suspects that led to the arrests and the recovery of some of the stolen property.Spry is charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods/property, felony conspiracy, possession of a firearm by felon as well as separate charges of OFA assault on a female from Dare County. His bond was set at $314,000.
Jenkins and Hargrove were both charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods/property and felony conspiracy. Each had their bond set at $210,000 and all three were booked into the Lenoir County Detention Center.
