Teen accused of using mobile app in series of robberies
GREENVILLE, Pitt County - A teenager is behind bars after a series of robberies related to a mobile app.
Greenville police say 16-year-old Isaiah Harragin has been arrested after robbing several people who used the app called Let Go. Harragin posed as potential buyer and lured sellers to a parking lot.
Police say he would then rob victims of their belongings-- even holding some of them at gunpoint.
Harragin is being held at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $266,000 secured bond,
The Greenville Police Department offers "Internet Exchange Zones" outside each of the three department substations. While they do not guarantee an officer can be present for every exchange, each of the areas re under 24-hour video surveillance. Those wishing to make an exchange may may also do so in the lobby of any if the the substations Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
