Suspect arrested, charged with attempted murder in Farmville shooting
FARMVILLE, Pitt County - The Pitt County Sheriff's Office announced an arrest Thursday in the May 9 shooting on US 258.
Vontrell Glover, 30, was arrested and charged with attempted second degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon.
The shooting occurred at the Joyner's Service Station in Farmville. The victim, who survived the shooting and was taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, is 22-year-old Dustin Taylor Oakley.
Glover was booked into the Pitt County Detention Center and is being held there on a $1.35 million bond.
