Storm knocks trees onto houses near River Bend
RIVER BEND, Craven County —
The storms that moved through our area Saturday night caused serious damage in Craven County.
At least four houses in the 4000 block of U.S. 17 South near River Bend were badly damaged after trees fell on them, according to Stanley Kite, Craven County Emergency Manager.
Emergency Crews are on the scene assessing the damage.
Kite said the Red Cross is now helping at least one of the families find somewhere to stay.
Kite said they are waiting to hear from the National Weather Service about what kind of storm caused this damage.
