Son, mother arrested on drug charges in Washington
WASHINGTON, Beaufort County - A mother and son have been arrested by deputies from the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office on several drug charges.
Deputies on Friday arrested Rodney Albritton Jr., 28, and Teresa Blount, 53, both of 218 East 7th Street in Washington. Albritton was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, trafficking in cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked. Blount was charged with trafficking in cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for keeping and selling a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Albritton was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond. Blount was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond.
Investigators received information that Albritton was distributing cocaine and marijuana. They made a purchase of cocaine and later executed a search warrant on Blount's home. Investigators found approximately 35 grams of cocaine, digital scales, packaging material and marijuana.
