Snow showers welcome eastern N.C.

(Jason O. Boyd, Pinetown)

NEW BERN, Craven County - It may not have been much, but it was sure pretty while it lasted.

Areas from Wilmington to Bertie County got traces of snow that, depending on where you lived, amounted from a trace to a bit more. It began falling as early as 6 a.m. in some parts and continued to come down as late as 1 p.m. before stopping.

Temperatures were expected to warm up during the day, meaning that little bit of snow we got would quickly melt away.

But it was pretty while it lasted.

We've made several posts on our Facebook page where you can see photos submitted by viewers from all over the area.
