Six more arrests made in 'Operation Black Magic' investigation

Six more arrests were made after officials raided multiple businesses for the illegal "Black Magic" controlled substance on Friday.

Operation Black Magic was conducted Friday, targeting area businesses suspected of selling the illegal Schedule I controlled substance. Black Magic has been known to cause severe health problems including seizures and brain damage.

Items seized included 454 packages of controlled substances, 112 Zen, 1 EZ, 4 Black Magic, 24 White Knight and 100 Pure Magic. Also seized was $194,301 in Onslow County and $200,600 in Wilson.

One person, Akram Abdel-Aziz, 50, was arrested on drug-related charges stemming from the raids.

The investigation was conducted by the Onslow County Sheriff's Office, Jacksonville Police Department, Richlands Police Department, Swansboro Police Department, NC ALE and NCIS. The raids were conducted at 19 businesses in the Onslow County area along with four in the Fayetteville area.
