Shots fired call results in arrest in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County - A Jacksonville man was arrested after Jacksonville Police responded to a report of shots fired on Friday.

Rogers Tyreek Ludwig, 30, of 703 New River Dr. in Jacksonville was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while license revoked, discharging a weapon in the city limit and hit and run. The arrest came after officers responded to the Econo Lodge at 701 Marine Blvd. to the call of shots fired.

After conducting an investigation, it was determined the shots fired came from the parking area. A black Lexus fled the scene, returned and struck a vehicle parked at the Econo Lodge before leaving on US Hwy. 17 heading South.

A description of the vehicle was dispatched and officers in the area eventually conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle.
