VANCEBORO, Craven County - The Craven County Sheriff's Office is seeking to locate the owner of a 150cc Carbide go-kart that was found during the arrest of a man in Vanceboro last Friday.

CCSO Investigative Sgt. Mike Sawyer said deputies served a search warrant on July 13 at a home at 289 Old Brick Road in Vanceboro, arresting 37-year-old Travis Bryant on a Lenoir County warrant for assault by pointing a gun. While serving the warrant, deputies located numerous items believed to be stolen property, including a Cub Cadet zero turn lawn mower, a utility trailer and two stolen firearms, all believed to be items reported stolen out of Lenoir County.

Bryant was also charged with possession of stolen property, two counts of possession of a stolen firearm and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

CCSO believes the go-kart was stolen from the Lenoir or Green County areas. Anyone with information on the owner of the go-kart, which has custom diamond-plated fenders, is asked to call CCSO's Investigations Division at (252) 636-6647.
