Research study tackling parking problems in Greenville
GREENVILLE, Pitt County - With more businesses and people moving to Greenville, parking is becoming as big a problem there as most big cities.
The city voted to approve a city-wide parking study. The first step is to ask residents what they want in improved and more parking access.
"I think more spaces and some of the lease areas, they can be open to the town when they come down to these events," said Liz Mitchell.
That, and being able to clearly understand where you can and can't park are issues Mayor Allen Thomas said he's going to address with the study.
"They are many private lots so we are trying to better mark those lots and make people clear," Thomas said.
Greenville residents were able to give feedback at the first parking study meeting on Monday.
